Almost everything should be cleaned prior to being painted outside. Depending on the siding type, we recommend power washing, or soft washing/hand cleaning.

Small homes can be painted with as little as 8-10 gallons of paint and larger homes can take 30-40+ gallons to complete in total. ​

How long does exterior paint take to dry​?
Most exterior paint dries in 1-2 hours. Some products might even dry to touch in as little as 5 minutes, or as long as 24 hours.
How warm does it have to be to paint the exterior​?

The minimum surface temperature recommended by paint manufacturers is 2-4 degrees for most exterior acrylic paints. We recommend a minimum of 5 degrees overnight.
What permits do you need for exterior painting in Nanaimo?
